Every year I have a 1 word theme that I set at the start of the year.
This 1 word will then be the theme of my year so I can be intentional with what I want to focus on in the year.
The word for 2026 is Systems.
1: Why Systems
I then divide systems into business and personal.
Let’s start with business. I am running Axcel Digital, a healthcare marketing agency in Malaysia.
To ensure the agency is running smoothly I am planning to implement the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) so everyone on the team is aligned.
On the outside the agency looks great and is running well, but on the inside it’s a mess in terms of SOP and majority of the big decisions and client interactions still require my presence.
With the 1 full year commitment of EOS implementation, let’s see where it can bring the agency.
The other part of systems is personal life.
I am building both morning and night routine, where the routine will be consistent throughout the year from Monday to Sunday.
Some systems to incorporate are no coffee after 2pm and no working out after 9pm so I can sleep earlier at night and subsequently wake up earlier.
2: Targeted Outcome in Dec 2026
For Business:
-EOS is implemented with a score of 80% out of 100%
-There are different department Head in charge of key numbers and clients
For Personal:
-Morning routine sorted
-Night routine sorted
Conclusion
It’s gonna be an interesting year, especially for my personality type of INFP where systems is my weakness as I like things spontaneous.
However, this is the year where I would actively work to develop systems so both business and personal life will be smoother in the coming years.
Hard decision in the short term = Easy life in the long term.
